Our professional dedication to hospitality is matched by our commitment to aesthetically pleasing venues and community involvement – all of which create unparalleled experiences in the Highlands of New Jersey!
Originally the Shadow Lawn Boathouse, the building now home to the Main Lake Market was built in 1905. The boathouse was a popular destination for the community, serving as a store, snack bar, and boat rental facility. It even included a Tea Room and a swimming beach! In the 1930s the building and those behind it took many forms including a boat manufacturing facility, and were part of Prospect Point Marina serving the community through boat sales, service, and storage.
Main Lake Market was reopened in 2006 after a complete renovation intended to honor the history of the building. Since then, the Market has served the community as a hometown shop, eatery, and gathering place for those experiencing the beauty and adventure of Lake Hopatcong.
